Our club is operated by the membership fee provided by all members including the instructors. The club provides the basic training for kids, and the adults can practice with each other. Whatever you are the elder, the youth, men, women, beginners, experienced people but stopped training midway, and also people with high level, our club can provide you a harmonious environment to make enough practice. Not only the participation from the children, we also got a lot of support from the parents. The goal of our club is to bring the spirit of Kendo not just for support of kendo training , but also for social life and international contribution, and to make the club full of harmony and energy with the effort from every single member.

＜Place and time for practice＞

We have practice every Sunday. From 9:00～10:30, it is for kids and introduction course. From 10:30～12:00, it is for advanced course. We use the gymnasium of Shanghai Japanese School (Hongqiao Branch) as our practice ground. There may be some adjustment according to the school. 【Notice：To person who want to join the club or join for visiting】

Since only person registered in advance can entry Shanghai Japanese School. All persons who are registered and have certification which is issued by Shanghai Japanese School are allowed to entry the school. Please pay much attention.

＜How to join＞

In case of experienced person, you can apply to enjoy at any time. For kids-beginners, as our most members set the first week of even month as the beginning of the training, you can apply to join during 2 weeks after the start date of the training. There are experience courses in the first and second week of even month. We will provide Shinai (bamboo sword) if you apply in advance. But from the third week, only members can take part in the practice. At this moment there were so many club members, so adult-beginners, in principle, are restricted the joining club. We recommend for joining the following club.

＜About the membership fee＞

(1)Items of joining club

• Pay the membership fee and application form to the accountant.
• Membership fee: for social personnel: RMB 100/per month; For non-social personnal: RMB 50/per month ( including oversea students, college students, students of high school, middle-school, primary school and pre-school children.)
• Membership fee begins from the first month of joining the club. Please pay the membership fee to Sep. if join the club during the first semester (from April to Sep.). Please pay the membership fee to March. if join the club during the second semester (from Oct. to March next year).

• For example, 1. (For social personnel) joins the club in August, should pay membership fee 200 RMB for two months (August and Sep.)
• For example, 2. (For social personnel) joins the club in Dec, should pay membership fee 400 RMB for four months (Dec. to March next year)

• Membership fee is nun-refundable Limited –time admission (admission for just one or two months only, e.g.) is not permitted. However, one or two times of practice experience can be carried on before joining the club officially.

(2)After joining the club

• Club member pay membership fee once for six months in April and October each year (RMB 600 for social personnel and RMB 300 for non-social personnel ).
• For temporary returning homeland or leave of absence, membership fee is not refundable or reduction (However, it is decided by the special cases such as practice termination by wound or sick ).
• Membership fee is un-refundable principally in determination of returning of homeland(please consult club affairs office under peculiar circumstances ).
• Membership fee can be paid by month if knowing of returning homeland or withdrawal of club beforehand.

(3)Withdrawal

• As it said in (2), for membership fee is un-refundable, submission of application is necessary when membership fee is paid if you knowing of returning homeland or withdrawal beforehand.
